AUTHOR'S GUIDE
1. Scope and Focus
JISE publishes original scholarly works that explore issues of community empowerment, local development strategies, participatory methods, social policy, and grassroots innovation. The journal encourages interdisciplinary research with practical implications for societal advancement, particularly within the Indonesian context, but also welcomes comparative or global perspectives.
2. Submission Process
Manuscripts must be submitted via the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. New users should create an account here, while existing users can log in here. Submissions sent via email or other platforms will not be processed. Authors are advised to carefully follow the submission checklist to avoid delays in review.

5. Plagiarism Policy
All submitted manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism detection software. The journal adheres strictly to academic integrity, and any manuscript with a similarity score exceeding 25% will be rejected or returned for revision. Self-plagiarism and duplicate publication are also prohibited.
6. Peer Review Process
JISE implements a double-blind peer review process. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. Authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the process. The editorial team makes the final decision based on reviewers’ recommendations.
7. Ethical Considerations
Authors must ensure that their work adheres to ethical research practices. For studies involving human participants, approval from an ethics committee and informed consent are required. Authors must also disclose any potential conflicts of interest or funding sources that could influence the research. See the publication ethics here.
8. Article Processing Charges (APC)
JISE does not charge any fees for article submission or peer review. However, once a manuscript is accepted for publication, authors are required to pay a publication fee of IDR 300,000. This fee helps cover the costs of editing, typesetting, and ensuring open access availability for all readers. See this information here.
9. Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain full copyright of their work while granting JISE the right to first publication. Articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0), allowing others to share and adapt the work with appropriate attribution.
