Journal of Indonesian Society Empowerment (JISE) with e-ISSN 2987-7288 p-ISSN 2987-8160 is published by Yayasan Lentera Avanya Nagari (foundation). It serves as a platform for scholarly discourse and dissemination of research findings in the realm of societal empowerment within Indonesia, and the world. Dedicated to advancing knowledge and understanding of strategies, policies, and practices aimed at empowering various segments of society everywhere, JISE encompasses a broad spectrum of interdisciplinary research.

JISE aims to promote academic inquiry and critical analysis pertaining to empowerment initiatives across diverse domains such as community development, education, health, economics, governance, and environmental sustainability. The journal welcomes contributions that explore innovative approaches, theoretical frameworks, empirical studies, and practical interventions to enhance the well-being, agency, and participation of individuals and communities in Indonesia.

This journal is dedicated to advancing knowledge and understanding in the field of societal empowerment within Indonesia. JISE focuses on a wide range of topics to enhance individuals' and communities' well-being, agency, and participation nationwide. The journal's aims and scope include, but are not limited to:

  • Community Empowerment: Exploring strategies, policies, and practices aimed at strengthening the capacity and resilience of communities to address socio-economic challenges, promote self-reliance, and foster sustainable development.

  • Social Access: Investigating initiatives and interventions to improve access to essential services, resources, opportunities, and rights for marginalized and underserved populations, including rural communities, indigenous groups, and persons with disabilities.

  • Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Initiatives: Examining efforts to promote gender equality, empower women and girls, and address barriers to social inclusion based on factors such as gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, and socio-economic status.
