About the Journal

Indonesian Social Science Review (ISSR) is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to advancing scholarly dialogue. The journal's main focus and scope cover public policy, media and communication, government studies, and political science. Published by Yayasan Lentera Avanya Nagari in collaboration with the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Tribhuwana Tunggadewi, ISSR provides an open-access platform to disseminate research to academics, practitioners, and policymakers worldwide.

The journal is officially accredited Sinta 4 by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Republic of Indonesia, based on Decree (SK) No. 156/C/C3/KPT/2026. This accreditation status is valid from Volume 1, Number 2 (2023) through Volume 6, Number 1 (2028).

ISSR requires theoretical grounding across all submissions. Field research and empirical findings must be explicitly paired with theoretical frameworks to test, challenge, refine, or advance theory, rather than simply offering descriptive reporting. All submitted work undergoes a double-anonymous peer review process. Authors are encouraged to review the Aim and Scope section for detailed guidelines.
