AIMS AND SCOPE
Indonesian Social Science Review (ISSR) publishes original quality research and analysis in the fields of Public Administration, Media and Communication, Governance, and Political Science. ISSR aims to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and understanding of contemporary issues in public governance, political dynamics, and communication strategies in both local and global contexts.
ISSR welcomes interdisciplinary and critical studies that relate to the following areas:
- Public Administration, which deals with research on public policy, administrative reform, bureaucratic efficiency, public service delivery, e-government, governance models, and public resource management.
- Media and Communication, which deals with the study of media influence, public discourse, journalism, digital communication, political communication strategies, and the role of media in shaping public opinion and democratic processes, as well as research in public relations, television and radio, film, and other relevant studies.
- Government which examines government structures, policy development, decision-making processes, institutional performance, decentralization, and comparative studies of government practices at various levels (local, national, and international).
- Political Science, which examines political behavior analysis, elections, political parties, international relations, political theory, democracy, civil society, and the impact of political systems on governance and societal outcomes.
ISSR encourages submissions that offer theoretical innovations, empirical research, and comparative approaches, prioritizing studies that provide practical insights or policy recommendations to improve governance, communication strategies, and political systems.
