All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed. The editorial team first evaluates each submission for relevance to the journal’s scope and compliance with the submission guidelines. The initial editorial decision is typically communicated within 1–2 weeks after submission. At least two independent reviewers review manuscripts that pass this stage.
JCR adheres to ethical standards in academic publishing in accordance with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors are required to ensure that submitted manuscripts are original, free from plagiarism, and not under consideration or submitted simultaneously to other journals. Proper citation of sources and disclosure of potential conflicts of interest are mandatory.
The journal is published twice a year, in April and October, and accepts submissions from scholars and researchers from diverse academic backgrounds.
JCR welcomes qualified scholars to join the journal as editors or reviewers. Applicants are expected to have an active record of research or scholarly publications within the last three years in fields relevant to communication studies. Interested candidates are invited to register via HERE.
