Strategi Pengembangan Perpustakaan Pintar dalam Meningkatkan Minat Literasi Masyarakat Desa Beji

Abstract

The presence of the village library aims to improve the quality of life of the community through access to information, science and increase learning opportunities. Village libraries provide a variety of information as well as education and training programs to improve the quality of life of the community. However, public awareness of the importance of libraries is still very low, which has an impact on public interest in libraries. The development of village libraries really needs to be done with the right strategy. This study discusses the development strategy of the Smart Library in Beji Village, Junrejo District, Batu City in increasing people's interest in literacy. This research uses a qualitative approach, data collection is carried out through interviews, observations and documentation. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman interactive model which consists of data reduction,data presentation and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the library development strategy implemented by the Beji Village Smart Library in increasing people's interest in literacy is carried out through several service programs such as mobile village libraries (Pusdesling), literacy programs such as Perpusdes greeting schools, classes for mothers and toddlers, schools for the resilient elderly, teenagers ready to fight drugs and mothers to work. The supporting factors for the activity are cooperation and support from various parties, while the factors that hinder it are budget limitations and low awareness and interest from the community about the importance of the village library.
